This month’s meeting of the Genealogy Club takes place on Wednesday 17th January at 7pm in the Community Room in Portlaoise Library.
The Genealogy Club is a friendly group of people who share an interest in family research. We meet on the third Wednesday of the month to exchange information and learn from one another. New members benefit from the knowledge and assistance of the experienced members, who provide information sessions and practical instruction on doing family research. The meetings are free and open to the public and beginners are welcome every month.
The information session at this month’s meeting ill focus on the Primary Valuation of Ireland (Griffith’s Valuation) as a source of genealogical information.
