Laois Heritage Office will host the 2024 Laois Heritage Seminar this Saturday, 7th December in the Midland’s Park Hotel in Portlaoise from 10am to 12.30pm.
The morning will include an update on heritage activities in Laois in 2024 by Thomas Carolan, Laois Heritage Officer; a talk on the Abbeyleix Bog Invasive Species Project by Chris Uys, Abbeyleix Bog Project; a first screening of two videos on the Just Transition Project to conserve medieval church and graveyard sites, and the Portlaoise Plane at Abbeyleix House & Gardens Family Open Day 2024.
The morning will conclude with a presentation to this year’s Laois Heritage Week winners. The seminar will be followed by the launch of the Laois Heritage Society Journal 2024.
