Laois Local Studies has acquired another large photographic collection of local interest. The collection, which contains thousands of old photographic prints, is currently being rehoused in appropriate archival quality enclosures to ensure long-term preservation of the originals. The project is supported by the Heritage Council under the Heritage Stewardship Fund 2022.
This collection is being digitised by Laois Local Studies and will be added to the digital archive. A selection of images will be exhibited on the website in the coming weeks with more information on the collection, its provenance and the preservation project completed.
