The Scully Collection contains approximately 40 images of Portlaoise buildings and shop fronts taken in 1985. The images were captured and generously donated by Michael Scully, a well known professional photographer based in Portarlington, County Laois.
The collection is a snapshot in time, capturing the appearance of the town before it underwent considerable change in the immediate years that followed. Copyright was very generously given to Laois County Library by Michael Scully.
